Indeed, today is possibly the first day with frost in Valdepeñas, as we can see from the frost covering all the cork stacks this morning.
A few hours later, we had a visit from our regional television station,
and by then, as can be seen in the second and third photographs, we were already taking advantage of the mid-morning sun to continue naturally drying the last corks remaining from the 2024 campaign.
For their program “ANCHA ES CASTILLA-LA MANCHA”, the TV crew needed to see firsthand the entire process of cork handling and then the corks themselves, up to the point where, after the final laboratory analyses, the corks can be sent to their destinations.
