On occasions like this one, the joy of seeing in this house the director of the Winery Tamanca (Mr. Federico Simón and his wife) is immense.
He also placed personally ‘his jewel’ in our glass cabinet. A sweet Malvasía wine, that was awarded a prize at the London Wine Fair 2007. There it is.
For over 20 years, we have a relationship with this company, and throughout this time, as well as a correct business relationship, it has been built an excellent personal relationship. Here I must personalize, so I personally attend to this customer
As Federico does us the honour of visiting us, we wanted to take the opportunity to pay tribute to the figure of his father, Mr. Federico Simón, who died a few months ago. The figure of Mr. Federico after these years helped me to be able to copy his composure, humility and good work. Proving to be a good friend of his friends in return for nothing. I can maintain that the friendship, respect and admiration, which I feel (felt) for him, would have lasted for ages certainly.
I felt very sad, when, on my last trip, during the usual lunch at Restaurant Tamanca, Mr. Federico was no longer there, and I will not be able to talk to him any more, for that while, that we always had on my arrival.
By the way, I would like to recommend this restaurant, that his three sons so well manage, to our customers, if they ever make a stop on the Island of La Palma. There, the peace is clearly ‘noticeable’, while the regional products can be tasted.
