Today, 8 July 2015 we have finished the purchase of cork from the harvest of this year and the cork is now perfectly stacked.
Possibly due to the high temperatures, much of the cork harvest of the year might not be extracted. For this reason we think that we are lucky because the cork we have bought is apparently better than last year’s cork and it is enough to meet the demand of cork stoppers of 2017.
In the photos 2 and 3, you can check the appearance of the last year’s cork and the new cork.
A few days ago we have begun the manufacture of cork stoppers with the cork from the harvest 2014, starting by the pile 2 (Photo 1)
In the photos 4, 5 and 6 we are checking the boiling, the trimming and the stacking of the cork, once classified.
