As we have already reported, in view of the virulence of COVID-19 in our region at the end of March, we agreed by mutual agreement to inform our customers that we would deliver all urgent orders in the week from 23rd to 27th March, and then the factory would close for a month with the goal of maintaining the health of our team.
In the past few days, and after spending this holiday month, we found some fear as we thought about what the health of all employees would be like. For this reason we have tried and managed that on Friday, 24th April, our professional association has carried out the COVID-19 test for our employees. We are satisfied that the result allows us all to work completely healthy again.
There is no doubt that one of our arguments to achieve this has been that, with our commitment to the BRC, we must guarantee that our health status is correct, to carry out the usual work.
Now, we need our clients to trust our way of doing things and continue to trust us with their orders. We are facing the new cork harvest and we want to trust the future, which is why we have contracted more cork for the years 2021 and 2022.
