Of the person responsible for the sale of cork of a farm that we had bought this year and who preferred not to meet the scheduled date for the “cork harvest”, so that a friend would do it, and when it was tried, they did not obtain a single kilo of cork, of the more than 100,000, which should have been in the piles 4, 5 and 10 of our yard and which, as can be seen, are deserted.
And now, if we want to continue maintaining our commitment to the quality of having the cork drying during one year in the yard and having the scheduled quantity of cork stoppers in 2024, we have to go to government auctions, or buy in yards, even at the risk of paying high prices, due to the poor harvest.
